In this clip, I am showing you just how powerful the layer mixer tool is in DaVinci Resolve. The purpose of using the layer mixer is to separate a certain color from the rest of the image so that when you make changes, it does not affect the color. In this example, I am protecting the yellow jacket, so that it still pops out against the blue background. That way I can also create multiple looks, without affecting the jacket.
