New beginner to advanced unreal engine VR tutorial series. Learn how to set up teleportation, climbing in VR and simple hand interactions. You will need to download the VR expansion plugin for UE4: 🤍 🤍 Make sure that you also have an example template. For changing movement mode you need to disable input action in Vive player pawn. VR climbing is a bit easier, from the start you can climb on anything so if you want to change it I would recommend you using a tag system for components. WIP physics hands I made in UE4 using the VR Expansion Plugin in about a week. There is some strange behavior with the left hand when climbing because the wall isn't scaled uniformly and the left hand has inversed scaling which causes some weirdness. Made nearly all of the logic in C. GitHub: 🤍

I had a lot of requests for going over the custom grips. Here I talk about a basic, and then more advanced setup for them. Sorry about the second half, I was having trouble figuring out how to dumb down the multiplayer transform inversing and relative space stuff and explain it clearly. I may do a follow up at some point when I have more time to think about it and have some questions on hand. This was a last minute thing as several users had need of this feature. The template has the example content in it for reference.

I felt like I needed to explain some things about the plugin. Some of the grip collision names are pretty obtuse and the VR character has a new feature that is hard to describe.
