The Simagic Alpha Ultimate is beautiful surprise and is here to fight the king of the Direct Drive Wheelbases for years Sumucube 2. For now I can compare those two wheels in iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione and Automobilista 2 and the other titles like AC, rFactor, Race Room, Dirt Rally etc must be tested in the upcoming weeks but I believe the results will be the same. If those here are out of your budget, you can check the Moza R5 and Moza R9 videos and soon I will start testing the 15nm Camus wheelbase which is the most budget base with lots of power !
The Alpha Ultimate Wheelbase is the flagship model from Simagic that produces a whopping 23 newton meters of power at a price point lower than many of their competition. Simagic came onto the sim racing scene out of nowhere and after a couple years on the market they have rounded out their entire lineup of sim racing products. This includes Wheelbases, Wheelrims, A pedal set as well as a sequential shifter. The Simagic Alpha is their replacement for the M10 wheel base and represents one of the best Direct Drive Steering wheelbases that you can get. It can be rounded out with a selection of rims available from Simagic. The Simagic Alpha U is here and it's everything I had hoped for. I put it alongside the Alpha Mini (10Nm) and the Alpha (15Nm) to see if the Alpha U's 23Nm is worth it and whether it comes close to the Simucube SC2 Pro which is (was?) the pinnacle of force feedback. This is by far the best priced Direct Drive simracing wheel ever existed ! SimuCube , Fanatec and VRS have awesome wheels but non of them can get even close to what we get from the Simagic Alpha Mini in combination with GT1 for the money ! If they keep that price this can be the bestseller and more people can join the track with high quality force feed back ! Without any quality sacrifices on the build with only Aluminium and carbon materials ! 10NM may sound not much but even coming from 25nm SimuCube wheel I was super happy with the fidelity and the clean force feed back which was absolutely enough to feel everything I need ! Base DD Simagic Alpha Top di gamma di casa Simagic dalle potenzialità enormi, aggiornamenti continui e finalizzati a miglioramenti tangibili che portano il livello di sensazioni alla guida al vertice della categoria delle basi da Simracing. Il prezzo attuale andrebbe, per me, adeguato alla nuova tendenza del mercato dove la stessa Simagic è parte in causa per aver contribuito (con il lancio di Alpha Mini) a far abbassare l'asticella dei prezzi delle basi DD permettendo quindi un pò a tutti di portarsi a casa prodotti sempre più economici nel prezzo ma sempre più performanti nelle prestazioni. Alpha può tranquillamente essere considerato sia un punto di partenza che un punto di arrivo per costruirci intorno la postazione dei sogni!!! Consiglio caldamente l'acquisto del bundle con volante per avere un risparmio considerevole. L'ultimo firmware in uscita sarà da paura!!!!
