This is Part 1 of a multiple ZBrush rigging serious of videos. in this video I will demonstrate how to create a rig in ZBrush to be used on a single subtool. (Happens to be a human figure). In this video I will show how to take the sculpted detail from the human figure and apply it to a posed version of the same figure.
★ TIP JAR ★ - 🤍 Download my CUSTOM RIG that you can start using immediately for posing via this link - 🤍 I'm releasing version 1 as somewhat of a beta testing phase as i'll add more joints to the rig for the fingers and other areas where errors might occur but feel free to try it and let me know if helps with posing. I wanted something similar to daz posing inside of zbrush so i created a custom rig. As long as the poses aren't ridiculous, the mesh won't break too much but some clean up is still required. The rig is in the standard T POSE but can be adjusted accordingly. I'll even show u how i adjust it to fit a completely custom character at a different scale. I'll also show you how to create your own custom rig and i even put together a posing demo where i create 4 different poses using the rig. Also, any riggers feel free to provide feedback on how it can be improved. Unfortunately zbrush doesn't have weight painting but i tried my best to create a rig for quick posing. Download my CUSTOM RIG that you can start using immediately for posing via this link - I'll show you how easy it is to set up your own custom Rigs for posing in zbrush. By creating a rig we no longer have to mask areas and we can place zspheres where joints would be created. It reminds me of posing in daz and makes the process more enjoyable. Credit to Paul Gaboury for teaching me the zsphere posing method.
In this tutorial, we look at a quick way of getting characters posed in Zbrush using Transpose master and Mixamo. In this tutorial, I had to rig Julie's arms so that I can lift them and get them out of the way so that they don't interfere with Dynamics Volume Collision function. I covered how to use ZSpheres to rig and 3 ways to manipulate them. Check them out yourself and test it out. Please give me a like and subscribe for the upcoming Layers tutorial where I will record the movements and animate Julie. Do you think I can animate it using Movie? Let's find out. A: yes, I have a Huion kamvas 16(2021). I wouldn't recommend using a mouse for sculpting/ painting, it's really slow and kinda bad for your hands. A cheap pad tablet is pretty good to start with though, you don't need a fancy screen tablet. Q: will you make a tutorial? A: maybe, at some point. I'm still learning myself, and there are loads of people way more qualified to teach stuff. Q: How do you join 2 objects together in blender and smooth the transition?
