Apple M1 Max with 10-core CPU, 32-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine 64GB unified memory 2TB of SSD storage Running Unreal Engine 4.27.1 to demonstrate performance on the M1 Max. Here is project running on M1 Mac Mini!!!! its the base model with 8GB of ram. - Custom Camera Plugin had weird issue not working so I used built in camera system I made for my character plugin. - No Audio as I can not figure out how to get OBS to accept Audio from MacOS. - I am using Lumen. Rendering seems almost correct. Grass is a bit fuzzy and brighter with no shadows. Lightning in the sky is also a bit fuzzy. I noticed in default FPS sample that skybox was also fuzzy. I bet that it is. - M1 chip has 4 performance cores. Unreal is only using 2. So this is at half performance CPU wise. Very impressed regardless. Only slow thing is shader compiling but if all 4 cores were being used it would be better off. - GPU wise this is around a GTX 1050 but with some incorrect rendering on some materials. I am using Lumen. Grass is a bit fuzzy and brighter with no shadows. Lightning in the sky is also a bit fuzzy. I noticed in default FPS sample that skybox was also fuzzy. The water is not reacting to my character foot as well. Overall I could use this to do my programming job and be very happy I think. Artists should probably stay away for now.

As happy as I was to see the forum announcements of the UE4.27.0 Preview one version available to download, I was frustrated with the fact that the Advanced Niagara scene still does not work. Also, I confirmed that Nanite and Lumen do not work on M1. Creating a map for game in development "M4RZ" in Unreal Engine 5 with Quixel Bridge on M1 MacBook Air! System is capable enough to run Nanite assets but I have refrained from overusing them.
