These methods can only be nerfed by Square and it is totally independent of the player market. You only get gil from an enemy while synced to the level of the dungeon. This Guide shows you one of the best areas for beginners and experienced players in need of Gil to use low level mining to make 80-100k Gil Per/HR. Shards are needed in the game for players to craft items you can either received these through quests or farm for them. They call a nice price tag on the Market Board and sell very well on all realms. At the time of this video over half the servers where selling lightning shards above 90 gil each. With new houses being added into FFXIV this means so many more players are going to finally get their grubby cat or bunny adjacent paws on one of the best gil making systems in the game gardening! For gardening there are plenty of items that can make gil, this can range from intermediate seeds like flat out growing tantalplant seeds I will mention here can earn good gil. Jute and a few other types can make housing items like the much desired combed wool rug. There are minions as well like the allagan melon, eggplant knight, mandragora queen and a few others. But there has, in all the years I’ve been doing gardening, not been a single better result than producing thavnairian onion seeds. These are always in demand because chocobos require these in order to level and chocobos are very useful in anything involving the open world which can even help in the hunt train. High level chocobos are really monstrous actually. But enough of that, to gardening! So first up you need a garden plot. I recommend avoiding your knee jerk reaction to go to the marketboard to pick up these since often times people are reselling higher than the NPC, though sometimes you can get a deal. These are 48k gil per plot from the housing merchant in your ward. Large houses can have a max of 3, medium 2 and small 1 of these garden plots. The deluxe is required since it allows you to farm the most seeds and successfully cross seeds which I will explain shortly. The only two things necessary once you have the garden plots are soil and seeds which will be determined by what your goal is to farm. I will cite a tried and true website called ffxiv gardening which through the years has proved absolutely invaluable and you can find awesome information like what you can garden to obtain, how to crossbreed, crossbreed diagrams and more. This website is basically your gardening encyclopedia. For the purposes of this guide however we’re going to be using specifically Ivory’s advanced compact thavnairian onion farm. This can be used on as few as one deluxe garden plot or scale as high as you want like right now I run 6 on Gilgamesh between my two houses. I just do the exact pattern per individual plot. Step 1 Tantalplant Seeds So if you really want to just dive right in and buy tantalplant seeds you can skip ahead to the next chapter of this video or timestamp. But for people who aren’t absolutely overflowing in gil and are intimidated by the wild marketboard prices let’s get into it here. To get tantalplant seeds, which we will need 3 of per garden plot, we want to cross krakka roots with midland basil seeds. Easiest way to get midland basil seeds is marketboard but they are farmable in costa del sol. Krakka root seeds and potting soil can be bought from the housing NPC. Lastly grade 3 thanalan topsoil which can be farmed, or bought off the marketboard but my favorite is you also can dump poetic tomestones into buying unidentifiable ore from Hismenaand turn them in for grade 3 thanalan topsoil from Bertana in Idyllshire.

Notice: The video is very old and the game has already developed a lot since its implementation. This information was valid for the first weeks and not quite the case anymore. 🤍 - New Gil Guide with many advanced gil-making strategies (emphasis on crafting). This most profitable strategy mentioned in this video (farming tomestone items) is still very profitable, but now it must be done in speed runs of The Wandering Palace. A good group will clear WP in 12 minutes, netting 500 tomestones per hour. This will result in 4 tomestone items per hour. At 30-35k each, that is still worth 120k+ an hour. Video guide demonstrating 4 different methods for farming gil in Final Fantasy XIV as a Discipline of War class - no crafts or gathering jobs required. Method #1. 135k an hour. Trade Tomestones of Philosophy for Potash or Coke and sell it with your Retainer. You can get 200 Tomestones of Philosophy per hour running with a fast Castrum Meriadianum or Praetorium group. Over 2.5 hours, this would lead to 500 Tomestones, or 4 Coke / Potash. At about 85k a piece for Potash on my server, that is 340000 gil in 2.5 hours, or 135k gil per hour. Since I predict this method to be less valuable on new servers and to decrease in value over time, I have included 3 more traditional farm spots (some of which do not require a level 50 character). Method #2. 55k an hour. Farm Velociraptors outside Camp Overlook. The route is demonstrated in the video - just to the east of town. These drop Raptor Skins and Raptor Sinew in high quantities, both of which are profitable on the market boards. I netted 31 skins, 19 sinews, and 6 lightning crystals in just 15 minutes. This was worth about 13.7k gil, or about 55k gil per hour. Method #3. 12k an hour. Farm Golden Fleece in the Burning Wall east of Camp Drybone and Southeast of Highbridge. These sheep spawn in large quantities and drop Snurble Tufts, which are going for 350 gil a piece on my server. I found 9 of these in 15 minutes, which is about 3k gil worth. This method is worth 12-13k gil per hour on my server. Method 4. 8k an hour. Farm Water Sprites in South Shroud at Urth's Fount. These are level 50. I was able to find 26 Water Crystals in 15 minutes. At 80 gil a piece, this is about 8k gil per hour. I think there is potential for these crystal prices to increase over time, so this is something to keep an eye on because it could become more valuable in the future.
