Once cooked remove in a strainer and apply oil and keep aside for further use. For Sauces Mixture In a bowl add vinegar, red chilli sauce, green chilli sauce, soya sauce, powdered sugar and mix everything properly and keep aside for further use. For Powdered Spices In a bowl add garam masala, degi red chilli powder, salt and mix everything then keep aside for further use. For Chow Mein In a pan heat oil and add onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies and saute for a few seconds. Now add red bell pepper, capsicum, cabbage and saute for a minute on high heat. Then add boiled noodles, prepared sauces mixture, spices mixture, red chilli sauce, soya sauce and toss it properly until well mixed. Continue cooking for a minute then switch off the flames and add spring onions. Serving immediately and garnish it with spring onion. For Egg Mixture In a bowl add egg, red chilli sauce, vinegar, soya sauce and mix everything properly and make an omelet. Bring a pot of water to boil for the noodles 2. Finely chop the garlic and slice the small red onion. Chop the garlic chives into sticks. Wash and drain the bean sprouts and set them aside 3. Make the stir fry sauce by combining the soy sauce, dark soy sauce, plantbased oyster sauce, cane sugar, and toasted sesame oil 4. When the water comes to a boil, cook the noodles for half the time to package instructions (in this case 2min). Stir the noodles gently to loosen them 5. Strain out the noodles and set aside 6. Heat up a nonstick pan to medium heat. Add the chili oil followed by the red onions. Sauté for 1-2min 7. Add the garlic and bean sprouts. Sauté for about 2min. Full Written Recipe for Desi Veg Chowmein Noodles Prep time: 10 mins Cooking time: 10 mins Serves: 4 For boiling noodles Ingredients: • Noodles 1 packet (raw) • Water for boiling • Salt to taste • Oil 1 tbsp Methods: • Set a wok filled with water for boiling, add salt to taste and bring to a roaring boil. • Add the raw noodles and Once the noodles separate from each other cook for only 2-3 minutes. • Strain it out from boiling water and quickly refresh them with cold water. • Drizzle oil and coat the noodles well, to avoid it from sticking. Keep aside for later use. For making chowmein Ingredients: • Oil 1 tbsp • Garlic 1 tbsp (chopped) • Ginger 1 tbsp (chopped) • Spring onion bulbs 1/4th cup (chopped) • Green chillies 2-3 nos. (slit) • Onions 1 medium size (sliced) • Carrots ½ cup (julienned) • Capsicum ½ cup (julienned) • Cabbage 1 cup (shredded) • Boiled noodles/chowmein • Soy sauce 1 tsp • Green chilli paste 2 tsp (paste of 2-3 green chillies) • Red chilli sauce 1 tbsp • Tomato ketchup 1 tbsp • Vinegar 1 tsp • White pepper powder a pinch • Salt to taste • Sugar 1 tsp • Spring onion greens 1 tbsp for garnish Methods: • Set a wok on high heat, add oil, chopped garlic, ginger, spring onion bulbs, slit green chillies, and slice onions, sauté them for a minute. • Add capsicum, carrots, cabbage and continue to sauté them on high flame for a minute, make sure you do not overcook the veggies, its recommended to keep them crunchy. • Add the boiled noodles and mix well but gently. • Add soy sauce, green chilli paste, red chilli sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup, salt & white pepper powder to taste and sugar, toss well for a minute. • Finally finish it with some chopped spring onion greens and toss well for one last time. Tip: you can add MSG or aromat powder for the extra flavour. • Your desi chowmein is ready to be served, serve it immediately with schezwan sauce or tomato ketchup along with it depending on your preference. . Take out rinse them in cold water to avoid sticking and set aside. 4. To make chow mein in a wok heat oil, add garlic and sauté it for a minute. Add marinated chicken and cook until it changes color for about 2 minutes. 5. Add veggies including carrots, cabbage and stir fry on high flame for about 1 to 2 minutes. Then add capsicum, onion, chow mien sauce and cook on high flame for two more minutes. Don’t overcook, try to keep your veggies crunchy. 6. Lastly in wok add boiled noodles, spring onions and give it a good mix. 7. Your delicious desi style chow mein is ready to serve. Serve hot. Ingredients: 1 cup cremini mushrooms 2 pieces garlic 2-3 sticks green onion 1/2 red onion 1/4 red bell pepper 1/2 cup snow peas 2 tbsp soy sauce 1 tbsp rice vinegar 1 generous tbsp hosin sauce splash of toasted sesame oil 130g ramen noodles 2 tbsp olive oil 1 cup bean sprouts Directions: 1. Bring a pot of water to boil for the noodles 2. Roughly chop the mushrooms, garlic, and green onions. Slice the red onion and red bell pepper 3. Peel down the tough stringy part of the snow peas 4. Chicken Noodles | Chicken Noodles Recipe | Chicken Chow Mein Recipe | Chicken Fried Noodles Recipe | Chicken Chowmein | Chow Mein Recipe | Easy Chicken Chowmein Recipe | Best Chicken Chow Mein Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Noodles: - Boneless chicken, cut into thin 2” strips- 250 gms To be marinated with: - Salt-1/4 tsp - Pepper powder- 1/4 tsp - Soy sauce- 1 tsp - Vinegar- 1 tsp - Baking soda- 1/4 tsp - Noodles, 150 gms pack , sufficient for 2 persons - Garlic, fine sliced- 5 cloves - Spring onion/scallions, whites- 2 tbsp - Spring onion/scallions, greens- 2 tbsp - Shredded cabbage- 1 cup - Carrots, fine sliced(like sticks)-1 cup - Green peppers/Capsicum, fine sliced- 1 cup - Soy sauce- 1 tsp - Vinegar- 1/2 tsp - Green Chilli Sauce- 2 tsp - Red Chilli Sauce- 1 tsp - Salt & pepper to season - Oil Preparation- - Fine slice the garlic cloves, carrots, green peppers and shred the cabbage. - Chop the white and green portion of spring onions/scallions. To boil the noodles, follow the instructions on the packet. OR - For 150 gm noodles, heat 1.5 litres of water in a pan on high heat till it comes to a boil. - Add the noodles and stir it lightly for it to open up. - Boil it for 2-3 mins, should not be soft but “al dente”. - Drain it in a colander and wash it with cold water to stop the cooking. - Add 1 tsp of oil and mix it well to coat the boiled noodles so that they don’t stick. - Set it aside. Chi You Huang (豉油皇) means “the king of soy sauce”. I know it sounds weird, but it is trying to describe that if you cook this right, you can maximize the flavor of the soy sauce and bring this dish to the king level. So this is basically vegetable stir fry noodles that are seasoned with soy sauce. INGREDIENTS (1 portion) 150 grams (5.3 oz) of fresh egg noodles or 100 grams (3.5 oz) of dry egg noodles 40 grams 1.4 oz of bean sprouts 40 grams 1.4 oz of carrot 1/4 of a medium-size onion about 40 grams / 1.4 oz 40 grams 1.4 oz of garlic chives 1 clove of garlic A drizzle of olive oil to add to the water 1 liter of water to pre-cook the noodles 1-2 tbsp of oil to stir fry 1 tbsp of light soy sauce (Amazon Link - 🤍 1 tsp of oyster sauce (Amazon Link - 🤍 1 tsp of dark soy sauce (Amazon Link - 🤍 1/4 tsp of sugar INSTRUCTIONS Bring 1 liter of water to a boil. Add a drizzle of olive oil, then toss in 100 grams of dry egg noodles (or 150 grams of fresh egg noodles). Turn off the heat immediately, let the noodles soak in the hot water. Gently loosen up all the noodles with a pair of chopsticks. Dry egg noodles will take about 3-5 minutes; fresh egg noodles will need 2-3 minutes depending on the thickness. Take out the noodles and spread them on a rack for at least 10 minutes. The rest of the heat will help to evaporate the excess moisture. Cut the noodles into 6 inches long pieces with a pair of scissors. Julienne some vegetables. I used 40 grams (1.41 oz) of bean sprouts, 40 grams (1.41 oz) of carrot, 40 grams (1.41 oz) of garlic chives, 1/4 of an onion, and 1 clove of garlic. In a sauce bowl, mix 1 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tsp of dark soy sauce, 1 tsp of oyster sauce and 1/4 tsp of sugar. Turn the heat to high. Heat your wok until smoking hot. Add 2 tbsp of oil.
