If you've ever been to the Marine Room restaurant in La Jolla, you know the food is great but it's the waves that are the big attraction. During the last King Tide, the waves were crashing over the building. But how do the waves stay outside and not crash through the windows? Well we're going to answer that question. I have always loved that place. Perfect spot to go snorkeling and swimming. Ironically enough it is plagued with stingrays
NO THANK YOU 🌊
You'll be back in 2 years reporting on the collapse.
So, they did not "Keep the waves out" And THIS Is a great example of Media manipulation through double speak.
I’m guessing a salad costs $40
what a badly placed building
For some reason, I think of those commercials for local businesses that have those weird quirks that made you think WTF, because their product wasn't interesting enough. For example, the commercials for American Furniture Warehouse had tiger cubs in them.
The staff is really the only plus about this place - they are generally professional and courteous. Otherwise... watch out!
We were initially seated at a table at the windows, overlooking the ocean. Suddenly we found our table overrun with insects! We were re-seated after about 5 minutes, and they comped the wine.
As for the food... really disappointing. Not at all what I'd expect from this place's reputation. The crab and corn bisque was remarkably bland. The scallops had a weird texture, were also very bland, and were served with black rice, vegetables and a sauce which all clashed against each other.
The dessert almost made up for it, as both the Amarula Pot de Crème and the chocolate kalhua tart were first rate.
The staff was constantly running around. The place had all the ambiance of a bus depot.
Man what a bunch of kooks.
I think they are called walls. Not too sure though, I am not some youtube scientist like you after all.
It must be nice to be rich.
Cool place. Had lunch a few times around 1980.
What happen to global warming? LOL. Hard to sell phony global warming when this restaurant has been doing this since the early 1900s. But don't worry... next time the glass breaks... like it has done several times before... it will be global warming. hahahaha youtube.com/results?search_query=%23clowns #clowns
Humans tempting fate is always great subject matter. All it takes in one Rouge wave. Eventually it will happen and you'll have more than a wrong order to contend with.
lies
What a stupid concept. Flash forward “we can’t believe the restaurant is in the sea” devastation ensues everyone crying and devastated, the “thoughts and prayers” american bs on the news for days. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
When I see this shit it just says the rich people deserve whatever bad shit happens to them because of this. Fuck this restaurant.
Underwater, much better...Waves hitting the glass, as you eat...
But will it withstand a tsunami?
